RedStick 2018 is proud to welcome Mark "Garvey" Candella, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Twitch. Mike will discuss how Twitch Student and the overall platform is taking their support of esports to the next level. Mark will be talking on Wednesday, April 25th at LSU's Digital Media Center's theater at 4:00 p.m.

Garvey has been instrumental in promoting intercollegiate eSports and supporting some of the biggest intercollegiate eSporting events to date in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Garvey also helps student and faculty researchers explore community development through Twitch and what can be done in gaming and beyond within the Twitch paradigm: the real-time interaction between players, broadcasters, viewers and the technologies that enable them. Garvey started in the esports industry in 1993 as a professional Magic: The Gathering player, and went from AZUBU to Twitch to develop his knowledge and gain some insight within the scene.Get your tickets at: Eventbrite.
